Indirect Speech: Kalimat tak langsung, berciri adanya conjuction
ex. He says,"I am hungry"
"I will call you", the girl said
He said that he visited her
Cara merubah Direct ke Indirect
1. Tentukan MC (main clause) dan SC (sub clause)
ex. My mom told me, "I have made a cake for you" (MC SC)
"I will invite you to my party", She said to him (SC MC)
2. Tentukan tenses pada MC
a. Jika MC, tensesnya: S. Present, Present Perfect, S. Future
maka SC akan berubah "pronoun"
b. Jika MC, tensesnya: S. Past
maka SC akan berubah "pronoun, tenses, dan adverb nya"
ex. The man said to her," I have fixed your bike"
The man said to her that he had fixed her bike
He says," I'am sleepy"
He says that he sleepy
"I will go to your house tomorrow", my friend said
My friend said that she would go to my house the next day
Perubahan Pronoun
I/me/my/mine/myself → merujuk "S" di MC
you/your/yours/yourself → merujuk "O" di MC
past perfect ← past ← present (urutan perubahan SC)
Aturan Conjuction pada Direct-Indirect
1. Jika SC berupa Statement, conj: That
2. Jika SC berupa Yes/No Question, conj: if/wheter+(S+V) (= apakah)
3. Jika SC berupa Question word, conj: Qw+S+V
4. Jika SC berupa Imperative:
(+)→ Conj: To+V1 (ex. sit down)
(-) → Conj: Not to+V1 (ex. not sleep in my class)
Perubahan Said
Said pada MC dapat berubah menjadi:
Said → Asked, jika question word & yes/no question
Told, jika Imperactive (perintah)
ex. He has said to his mother, "I will take you to your office"
He has said to his mother that he will take mother to her office
"Where do you live?", She asked
She asked where I lived
Jono said to Sina, "Did you call me last night?"
Jono said to Sina if she had called him the night before
"Don't sleep in the class!" the teacher said
The teacher told not to sleep in her/his class
He said to her, "Please come to my party!"
He told to her to come to his party
