Tenses adalah perubahan kata kerja yang diikuti perubahan waktu dan sifat kejadian Present tense, digunakan untuk membicarakan sesuatu yang sedang terjadi saat ini atau sesuatu yang benar saat ini dan kapan pun. Ada empat present tenses, yaitu:   Simple present untuk menyatakan kebiasaan dan kebenaran umum.   Present continuous untuk membicarakan kejadian yang terjadi saat ini. Present perfect untuk kejadian berulang, di mana waktu tidak penting dan kejadian dimulai di masa lalu tetapi belum selesai. Present perfect continuous untuk membicarakan kejadian yang masih terjadi, dimana proses dan akibatnya penting. Past tense, digunakan untuk membicarakan hal-hal yang berawal dan berakhir di masa lalu atau hal-hal yang terjadi di masa lalu dan masih berlanjut hingga sekarang. Ada empat past tenses, yaitu: Simple past untuk kejadian yang berawal dan berakhir di masa lalu. Past continuous untuk kejadian yang berawal di masa lalu dan masih berlanjut hingga sekaran
